Intel Core Ultra processors, code-named 'Meteor lake', are the mainstay of Intel's newest brand of artificial intelligence (AI)-focused PCs.

Specifications like the "neural processing device" for a range of AI workloads, and a brand new "Intel ARC Graphics" to boost three-dimensional graphics' performance on display on the day.

This is the first chip to be constructed on Intel 4 Process Technology. The chips are housed using different types of silicone, as well as a packaging method called "Foveros".

Intel claims that they are the most efficient processors that Intel has ever created. It has two kinds of battery-saving cores "P-Cores, for tackling high-performance tasks and E-Cores for tackling mundane jobs" in the company's announcement today.

Intel Executive Vice General Manager and President Client Computing Group, Michelle Johnston Holthaus stated on Intel's website "The introduction of Intel Core Ultra represents the incredible scale and speed at which Intel is creating AI on the PC. By 2028 AI PCs will comprise 80 percent of the market for PCs."

Intel unveiled its 14th Generation Core series of desktop processors in October of this year. Intel along with Apple have been battling it for a while, with both trying to deliver the fastest laptop processors. Intel revealed the leak of Apple's M3 Max processor last month.

AI has been a prevailing issue throughout 2023, with the 27 EU members ratifying this Artificial Intelligence Act. This was the first time in the world region to come together on the ethics of governance in AI and its application across the EU.
